Ryan's Collages

I have been up all night making stupid collages of topics I like, including South Park, Tiny Toon Adventures, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry and John Lennon. There will probably be more to come. Stay tuned.

Ryan Meets John O'Hurley

I went to see the Broadway show "Spamalot" at The Muny for my birthday tonight. It is based on the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", so obviously it was pretty awesome. They even brought in a song from "Life of Brian" which was my favorite moment.

Monday night, as legend has it, Monty Python's Eric Idle attended the show. I wasn't there for that, but I did get to meet legendary actor John O'Hurley who is best known for the role of J. Peterman on Seinfeld. I got some autographs and a picture with him. He is a super nice guy and an incredible actor. I'm glad I got to meet him. Overall, it was a good night.

Bravo! Splendid performance, John!

Happy 71st Birthday Sir Paul McCartney!

I'd like to wish a very happy 71st birthday to the greatest musician ever in the history of ever, Sir Paul McCartney! Thank you for all the joy you've brought the world. You truly are bigger AND better than Jesus.

For me, Macca's birthday was celebrated with a special cake, music and my 71st viewing of Paul's film "Give My Regards to Broad Street". How did you celebrate Paul's big day?

Ryan Meets Jim Gaffigan

After waiting well over a month I finally met comedian and writer Jim Gaffigan in person at a book signing in St. Louis. He already autographed my book "Dad Is Fat" that I had shipped from Kansas City, so I brought a photo for him to sign instead. He wrote the name "Kyle" on the photo and I told him my name was "Ryan". He was like, "Ryan?? Kyle?? Where did I get Kyle from?" So he wrote "Ryan your name should be Kyle" on it. I did my stupid Ryan laugh and told him I bought his book from Kansas City but he didn't care. We told each other "thanks" and went our separate ways. Unfortunately, I did not get a real picture taken with him.

My friend Kevin also got some DVDs signed. I guess the adventure was a success but kind of a strange one.
