The Many Faces of Cartman - Part 2

It's that time again! That's right! It's time to look at some of Cartman's many disguises from seasons three and four of South Park. In these classic seasons Cartman takes on the roles of Jesus, James West, Tom Brokaw, General Robert E. Lee, a sumo wrestler, the tooth fairy, a pimp and more.

"Up your ass with broken glass!"
In "Spontaneous Combustion", Cartman plays the role of Jesus in The Stations of the Cross. Soon after he is crucified by Stan and Kyle.

Four-Eyed Cartman

In "The Succubus", Cartman's asshole eye doctor staples glasses to his head.

In "Starvin' Marvin in Space", Cartman and the boys dress up like Tom Brokaw to distract the FBI from the Ethiopians getting aboard Marvin's spaceship.

General Lee Cartman
"Screw you guys! Home!"
In "The Red Badge of Gayness", Cartman dresses as General Robert E. Lee to help the South win The Civil War.

Goddess Earthly Delight Cartman
"And I'm here, Goddess Earthly Delight!"
In "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus", Cartman thinks he's gotten his period and starts a club.

Tooth Fairy Cartman
"I am the tooth fairy, my child!"
In "The Tooth Fairy's Tats 2000", Cartman pretends to be the tooth fairy to steal kids' baby teeth.

Pimp Cartman
"What's that little Polack gonna do?"
In "The Tooth Fairy's Tats 2000", Cartman dresses as a pimp when he makes money selling baby teeth.

Elvis Cartman
"Fine! Pretend we're Matt Lauer!"
In "Something You Can Do With Your Finger", Cartman dresses as Elvis with a cucumber in his pants for his boy band costume.

Fat Camp Cartman
"You need a friend... A chocolate friend!"
In "Fat Camp", Cartman is sent to fat camp where he sells candy to the other fat kids.

Mayor Cartman
"Outlander! Your blood will spill!"

Season Two of 'South Park'

Today we take a looky-loo at season two of South Park. Season two if my second favorite season, featuring such perfectly constructed episodes as "Chickenlover", "Ike's Wee-Wee", "Chickenpox", "Clubhouses" and "Prehistoric Ice Man". This season also includes the hilarious April Fool's episode "Not Without My Anus", one of my all-time favorites, which resulted in controversy when it aired instead of the conclusion of "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut". A few weeks later we find out that Cartman's father is actually his mother because she's a hermaphrodite. It isn't until season fourteen that it's revealed they lied about his father's identity and he actually turns out to be Scott Tenorman's dad who he had killed in season five. Deep, dark stuff. Season two is also the first time we see Cartman without his signature cap, Mr. Twig replaces Mr. Hat, and Mr. Hankey makes a triumphant return. Some think that this season was a disappointment, including Trey and Matt themselves, but it is when I really started getting into South Park. Season two will always have a special place in my heart and gave me one of the best years of my teenage life.

My Favorite Music Videos

Today I am posting some of my favorite music videos. They are not your typical music videos because for some reason I hate watching people sing. It ruins songs for me to see the douchebags who perform them. So some of them are animated. I doubt that anyone is surprised to hear me say that.

"The Darkest One" by The Tragically Hip

This is a music video by The Tragically Hip that features Ricky, Julian and Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys. It is my favorite song and music video at the moment.

"What Would Brian Boitano Do?" by DVDA

An entertaining music video by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (DVDA) from the movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut". This song is one of my favorites. Probably because it is so unbelievably retarded. But Trey is a pretty amazing singer. I love all his songs. And you gotta appreciate a good chicken wings joke.

"Take On Me" by Reel Big Fish

I guess you could say I included this because it features Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Dian Bachar from the 1998 film "BASEketball". But I also love their cover of the song, originally performed by Ah-Ha. They do look like douchebags singing it though. No way around that really. Musicians are just douchebags.

"Salty Chocolate Balls" by Isaac Hayes

A music video for "Salty Chocolate Balls", a song featured on Chef Aid: The South Park Album. It was my favorite album growing up so I had to include the music video version of this awesome song. I love hearing Isaac Hayes' amazing voice talents used on a song about Chef's salty chocolate balls.

"Ren's Pecs" from Ren & Stimpy

This was a strange choice to post. I am not a big fan of Ren & Stimpy but I sure loved them when I was a kid. There's something about this song that has always gotten to me. Maybe it is because it is from my childhood. Maybe it is because it reflects my own life to some extent. Maybe it is both. But either way I just posted it.

"Istanbul" by They Might Be Giants

A wonderfully animated segment from Tiny Toon Adventures featuring music by They Might Be Giants.

"Afternoon Delight" by Will Ferrell

A music video from one of my favorite movies, "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy", featuring the song "Afternoon Delight". It is sung by Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner. This video also features some very cute kittens.

"Walk Hard" by John C. Reilly

The song "Walk Hard" performed by John C. Reilly from the movie "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story". This movie has the best original songs in pretty much any live-action movie ever. John C. Reilly is an amazing singer, in addition to being a fine actor.

Top 10 Sitcom Theme Songs

I realize this is similar to my previous post, but instead of animated TV show theme songs I am counting down the Top 10 Sitcom Theme Songs. These are the opening themes to the terrible sitcoms of the 80's and 90's. Because although the shows were awful, almost in a good way, their theme songs were great. But no matter how bad these shows were you can't deny they are still better than anything on TV today. So without further adieu, here are my top ten:

10. Alf

9. Step by Step

8. Saved by the Bell

7. The Hogan Family

6. Family Matters

5. Growing Pains

4. The Adventures of Pete and Pete

3. Full House

2. Mr. Belvedere

1. Perfect Strangers

"Happy Birthday, Bugs!"

Seventy-one years ago today the greatest cartoon icon of all-time was born in Tex Avery's animated short "A Wild Hare". There were earlier versions of this crazy character, but he was truly defined under the guidance of Tex Avery on July 27, 1940. The cartoon legend I am speaking of is of course the one and only Bugs Bunny. Happy birthday, Bugs! This post is dedicated to you!
